Area business manager salary?

No DM manager in Diabetes is making 160k. Sanofi pays the worst in the industry. You can win the international trip and get 5% max raise. Sanofi doesn't even cover the annual CPI every year. Pitiful salaries

Not correct. Those salaries are in fantasy land. Sanofi is the the worst paying pharma company in the industry. It reeks of low morale, a forced ranking system, and above all a completely dysfunctional upper management. Just look at the CEO who took over 3 years ago and has done absolutely nothing. The stock hasn't moved even with his big cost savings agenda. He hasn't done shit to put it bluntly. The salaries stink at Sanofi!

One of my counterparts is making 38k more than me, and I've been here over 10 years while he has been here for 3.

I am an idiot. Why am I even here? I like my division, but this is some BS. Why even stay? So what I have a few TPIP coming up. That pay is still less than others with little to zero experience.

I need to just hop around like everyone else.

Yes, you are an idiot. 10 years of mediocrity and you’re shocked at your pay.

They really keep giving everyone no reason to stay. Not like it's amazing here, but I will be paying more attention to recruiters reaching out.

True, you have to leave and come back. Hard to climb the salary ladder with 2.5% raise/year. What is your division? Oncology?

I'm in Rare.
I keep thinking it can't get worse here, and it does. I like what I do, and I like my RBD. I don't know how much longer I will be here. The thing is, they will replace me with someone making more money.
The changes they keep implementing are making things worse for patients and employees. They love to get your feedback, only to say they listened, and did the exact opposite.

I'm making literally $100K MORE in salary alone than I was when I left Sanofi doing almost the same exact job. We're also given stock at my current company which I was never given at Sanofi. NOT TO MENTION we had to share rooms at meetings at Sanofi! ha!! I'm hoping at least COVID19 put a stop to that for ppl still here. Sanofi is the CHEAPEST company out there. Live and learn I suppose.

I believe it. Which company are you at? It is good to know about others. I'm assuming it's a smaller one.

And most divisions in sanofi stopped roommates many years ago. I've been here 12 years, and I never had a forced roommate.

A year or 2 ago on a town hall call, someone asked if sanofi was ever to go give RSUs since almost all other companies do. Their response was along the lines saying, we aren't ignoring that, but we will get back to you. We all obviously know the answer to that. They're costing themselves more money in the long run, as newcomers are getting paid more than tenured people. Opposite of how it used to be. It's going to bite them in the ass soon as every tenured person leaves.

Look at companies like Alexion, Alnylam, Cytokinetics, even Gilead.

You stay, you get the 1.5-2%. That won’t ever change. Millennial bounce takes balls, but if you aren’t happy it probably goes deeper than pay.

Staying will make you bitter. Leave. If you are as good as you think they might try to retain you for another 10-15k. Be a flight risk and you will discover your personal stock price in a hurry, but if you suck be prepared for the “don’t let the door hit you in the ass” smile.

That’s why they aren’t doing separation packages…cost too much to rehire you or replacement at market value. My bounce over 10 years is about a million dollar delta.

It’s not rocket science, win a few COE’s, produce, look to get promoted and you will get your value. Im proof of that and I’ve been here almost 8 years. Over the course of that time, my salary bump has been higher than 2% the years I finished in top 10% and total increase of over 45k from when i started.

Some of that is on you to take ownership with your performance and being proactive with your rbd. He knows what I’m doing and how i work because i communicate with him on a weekly basis. People that complain and say pay sucks, etc are usually mediocre reps who dont care about their performance. I dont just look to hit my goals every qtr, i plan to succeed them. Good reps find a way to win period.
