In reality who cares, we are not pretty much both lumped all in together from those outside of the industry as well as what we do regarding roles, responsibilities, pay (some exceptions here) and job growth opportunities. 5 10 20 years ago the two segments were much more diversified. Now the term biopharma is used more often than not referring to both biotech and pharma.
Why is this irrelevant topic being discussed here with all other changes taking place. Seems like someone's ego got hurt by calling ZS a biotech company. Get over yourself little guy.

You will not be let go. The drug will be approved by end of year and launched. In less than 5 months you will ditch Brillinta and sell against Veltassa in the Hyperkalemia market, with much success I might add. Soon you will be welcomed back to the renal space where you all belong. Naysayers be damned, this will turn out well in the end.
There is no way in hell we will launch by the end of this year! Best case scenarios by key analysts says 9 months to a year minimum! We can resubmit maybe by the end of the year and then have to wait another 6 months for the FDA to review all of the data! Don't know where you get your info!
Same fate for Acerta pharma. Doomed before end of the year. AZ will let them go also.

Smart and lucky. With or without approval ZS will be a historical blip. AZ has plenty of reps if approved and no money to pay an extra sales force.
