KAMS only exist to justify an even more worthless (if you can believe it)
managment position. You have to remember for all the scams the reps do
management does worse . You think if basel had a clue they'd allow layers
upon layers of worthless redundant managers ?
Hell you can fire every DM tomorrow & the company wouldn't miss a beat
but then like dominoes , someone would realize you don't need the managing directors
or the business unit leaders & on & on.
Imagine if you owned this company , you'd never have hired 70% of the waste they did

Even if you think they are worthless why would you want to see somebody lose their job. I know one KAM who has a child with cancer if he lost his medical he would be screwed. Don't you think when you write such garbage. His salary is not coming out of your pocket why do you care. There was a time when reps looked out for each other. Its holiday time my wish is that you grow up.

Given the bad news yesterday, drying pipeline and generic infusion, are KAMS (worthless position in my opinion), still needed at Novartis???

I think there ought to be some RAM's gone as well. What the hell do those guys do other than take up space.

My kam has helped a lot in my area with formulary wins. Also has created access opportunities. I think it just depends on who you have. My dm sucks.

I concur. My KAM has been great. She the best I've seen. We work well together as a team. However I have seen some pretty bad KAMs, partly because many accounts are just flat out closed and want nothing to do with PHARMA.
