Approval and hiring question

From what I understood they are not going to hire until approved. Many companies hire prior to FDA approval. I was told approval was not expected until March. Face 2 face would be the 2nd week in March. Anyone hear otherwise?

In the spirit of trying to be a different company, we will issue offers contingent upon FDA approval.
The goal here is to be respectful of those currently employed and mitigate the risk of bringing people onboard in an uncertain regulatotry environment where approvals are never fully assured.

Should the FDA approve the drug at the end of March----the people who received the contingent offers will then give their two weeks notice at the beginning of April.
Hope this helps.

It does help and it also demonstrates that Chelsea can take their time in finding the best candidate for each position. Let's hope they aren't foolish enough to only rely on the recruiter. That will screw us all.

Recruitment firm is completely unprofessional and unorganized. hopefully someone at CTH will stand up! Good luck to all in the process...

Seriously...All you "sour grapes" people need to stop blaming the recruiter....There obviously were better candidates in your area (for whatever reason), and you were not chosen to be moved forward. Get over it.

Seriously...you are jerk, which recruiter are you??
You have no idea what this process has been like, only way to describe it is... EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!
If there is no interest in a candidate why not send rejection letters rather than keeping people in limbo, makes no sense.

There is no "limbo"---the process is still actively going on. Each and every day we interview more qualified candidates on the phone based on how many and at what level they are at for each territory.
We can't send those emails you refer to if we are still actively engaged in the phone interview process.
I had several phone interviews today and am in the process of scheduling more for this coming Friday; moreover, I still need qualified candidates from the recruiter for several of my territories.
I do not know which city you are located in, but I assure you the process is still active---I am sorry for the waiting, but we are selecting day and night.

How can we get our resume to you?

How can we get our resume to you?

My geography may not be within 1000 miles of where you live----the contracted recruiter phase is the chosen method for initial applicants.
This is just a time (economically) where there are so many good people looking for opportunities that they (recruiting agency) must be our first line based on the volume of resumes.
Thank you and I assure you your qualifications are being looked at closely versus those of comparable candidates for each and every open 85.

I was told by the recruiter that they were very interested in me b/c of my background.....orphan product launch, start up company experience, called on most all areas of specialty and so on....recruiter told me that I should expect a call within a few days.....been over a week, does that mean I didn't even get a call?????

Please see posting #29 under the "Chelsea Therapeutics" thread. Most of us still have people to call after the recruiter phase.

I was told the same things by the recruiter on the initial phone screen-Terrific background, ideal candidate profile fit, that I would definitely be moving forward, that another recruiter would be in touch soon for step 2. This was almost two weeks ago and I have heard nothing. Don't know what's going on. FDA may have put a damper on recruiting for the time being.

You act as if this has never happened to you before? It happens ALL the time.....The recruiter or hiring manager says they will get back to you - and they don't. #1 -This has never happened to you before? #2 - Geez..don't take it so personally, and move on to the next available position to apply to!

I guess you don't get it, of course as sales people we have all have experienced rejection, but based on the number of complaints regarding this process you would have to question the professionalism or lack of.

Obviously, someone is good at their job if a whiner like you is eliminated from the process with no waste of time or resources.
