Are there any legacy folks who have been successful here at Depomed seriously thinking about leaving in anticipation of a probable Horizon takeover? Are you at the very least entertaining the though of applying for other pharma jobs?
 






Legacy ? Is this a joke ? Anyone can see this is not a company yet a few old men wanting that last payoff. They hired many experienced reps initially yet most are gone now in favor of younger, cheaper reps . All the white robes on Sunday can not save him from the karma of his actions Monday-Friday.
 












I'm putting feelers out there, but I want the severance when this thing is finally done. I have been here since the beginning and I want out. We've grown too fast and I am tired of having to put out new fires each week regarding call plans, targets... blah blah blah. I'm ready for the ride to be over, but will hang in for the vesting and the severance. In the meantime, I will shoot for every contest prize and commission check! I'm kicking butt, but am tired of all of the fire drills!

OMG EXACTLY. I cant stand this place. worst arrogant upper management I have ever been around. The South RD is the most arrogant, pompous, political, LIAR, of anyone at his level that I have ever seen. His regional meetings are a complete JOKE. The regional breakout in Dallas was TOXIC. The guy has no clue what he is doing or how to motivate people. Im completely disgusted. Can't wait to get out.

Amen. This company is designed to implode. The arrogance of management is sickening. Archaic mentality. DMs have seemed to have sold their soul to the devil. Some apparently are closely related to the devil. I know many are looking, it's just a matter of time when there is a mass exodus.

Complete disgust is an understatement. One of the DMs seem to have escaped legal consequences of behavior that would make Freund roll in his grave. (Stalking, harassment, bullying, etc.) Mid management and HR know of this and have done nothing. NOTHING.
 












I've started networking & sending out resumes for many reasons....NO work life balance, little or NO respect for Reps, definitely NOT "running my own business" as was sold in interview, more busy work than I've ever had in my entire Pharma career, micro managing management, no autonomy, too many alignment issues to list, too much time NOT selling while on conference calls w/ expectation of 9 calls +3 pharmacy calls.....what happened to "we are not big Pharma and no check the box mentality" ...sadly this organization is about check the box. What happened to quality vs. quantity? Have I mentioned the substandard training, 6+ hours week on ridiculous expense report process. The list goes on and on and I haven't even mentioned the looming buyout. We have become a joke to other companies who say "You Depo reps are just padding your casket!" I wish everyone luck moving forward. I joined this organization in hopeful anticipation of a bright future but I just can't see living my life this way. Life is too short to waste my time and talent on an organization that doesn't respect it.

Well said, I feel the same way. Feelers are out. I will add that the territories and placement of reps were done in a fashion with complete disregard to logic. You are correct in that management does not respect the lives of reps, with NO WORK LIFE BALANCE.

Very well said, also. Both posts above. Especially the work, life, balance and territory alignments. My DM is ok, nice, and reasonable, and it's not her fault about the territories. But there are territories in our district that make no sense whatsoever and are very low volume.. Could easily be absorbed into other territories. There's way too many of us running around on top of eachother, promoting some products that aren't worth the time.

Yes there are too many reps and territories can easily be absorbed. Seems like they were in a hurry/time crunch to complete the expansion, possibly to look good to the shareholders, as we all know Horizon was and still is knocking on the hostile door. The rush to expand created nonsensical assignments and lack of internal man power (expense reports).

Amen. Everything you said is the pure truth. This place blows my mind. I hope horizon wins and wipes out the board of directors. Mr.Piggy and the rest of the goons need to go.
 






I knew it when I interviewed here months back...so glad I didn't come here....sounds like the nightmare I thought it would be judging by the clowns I interviewed with....especially the dbag recruiter guy he was a real tool loser! I knew the minute I met the DM from the west coast and the tool...complete idiots!
