Anyone familiar with and/or work for Bionicare?

I currently market for Bionicare through a contract with another durable medical company. Great product if you have straight Medicare and are willing to wear it. I've only had returns from insurance issue patients. It's a niche market sale for sure.

Trying to purchase supplies for the Bionicare device: pad contacts and wires.
Am a physician and have a patient on them, in addition to myself.
RS medical refuses to sell them.
Can anyone out there help?
Feel free to email me and put Bionicare in the subject

BioniCare technology and Customer Support is now available! As of May 18th, 2009, VQ OrthoCare, a provider of orthopedic and spine solutions, acquired the assets of ArthroWave, LLC based out of Sparks, Maryland, including ArthroWave’s BioniCare technology, an electrical stimulation technology to treat osteoarthritis of the knee. Customers can continue to receive ongoing support and supplies for their Bio-1000 devices from VQ OrthoCare.

While it is true that the J-Stim has received clearance for marketing from the FDA (Medicare does not "approve" products), this device is not equivalent to the BioniCare Knee Device. It does not have the same specifications and is not supported by clinical evidence. The only device clinically proven to improve the overall health of an osteoarthritic knee and reduce pain and symptoms is the BioniCare Knee Device.

Re: Bionicare Info

I am in the process of putting together a system with a local rep, I am located in Ohio. I am told that the local company is called V Q Ortho Care, and the lady I am working with is great. there is a website www.vqorthocare.com and you can go to their products information from there. I don't think I should post this saleslady phone number on the internet, but I think you can find info on the system on their website.

My wife needed a Bionicare System(?), think that's what it's called. MedStar Northwest totally screwed up our billings, said they worked thru another company. My wife didn't feel like it ever worked and now we have a huge bill. Doctor is furious!

I am the Media Director for BioniCare at VQ OrthoCare. We have made many improvement to the signal generator and electrodes since we acquired BioniCare. There are so many patients now with favorable, long term results (reduction of pain, return to function).

Our website is www.bionicare.com. One area of note is the "In the News" section where you will see News coverage with doctors explaining the technology and patients giving testimonials of their experiences.

You can reach us for more information by phone or e-mail:

While reading the threads above, we had addressed most of the concerns listed. It is true that the treatment takes about 9 months (some improvement is usually noticed after the first month). There is dedication to the process, but there are virtually no risks, many great outcomes, it is non-invasive, has long term effects and does not eliminate other treatment options down the road.

I am a pharma rep with 10+ years specialty experience and thinking about making the jump to medical devices. Not sure about this company but have been recruited to interview. Thanks in advance for any insight.

yes I have two patients on the device and both are doing much better, and have avoided TKA and its attendant risks. I am impressed that the company is o.k. There service could use some improvement in terms of fragmentation of response to service requests, but overall they are very satisfactory.
