I get where you are coming from. Many people landed in a spot they weren’t wanting or expecting. Our regional was on our new district call and provided some insight for next year. Many of us asked questions and got clarification on direction. Yea it probably could have waited until some of the dust settles and it’s important to let the new team connect first especially after all the stress this process created.

All in all it wasn’t too bad, because it was really a virtual happy hour. Glad this week has finally come and we can put it behind us. Morale is pretty bad in our area. People are over Novo.

You don’t get to hold the company hostage and be coddled because the events of the past few month have you in a tizzy. No one cares how you feel right now.

And, you’re right, you do have choices. You’re welcome to exercise the choice to leave at any time. This is what it is, and it doesn’t change because you’re upset. Get over it; there’s work to do.

Well isn’t the the truth. It’s called common decency and empathy when people had major change and their colleagues were just let go. The other comment, was probably from a shitty ass manager that held such a call.

I think you’re under the impression that they don’t know you’re upset at what they’ve done. They do know, but they don’t care. This has to be done, regardless of how much it might hurt yours or anyone else’s feelings. And, the OP was asking everyone to quit doing their jobs (ie Set direction and strategy), and listen to him and others vent. Everyone knows exactly what you’d say. They just don’t care. Some actions leadership takes for the betterment of the company makes the employees unhappy for a period of time. Stopping business and crying about it for a few days changes nothing. Just get over yourself and realize that you aren’t the center of everyone’s universe.
