Another reason obama will lose

I knew obama was in trouble watching his sneers at any suggestion or proposal put ont he table by republicans. The reality was he would not have a dem controlled congress for the entirety of his term and it was clear he had no skills of working with anyone who did not fall into lock step adoration of his every word.

His wife never being proud of America was echoed by his apology tours. He offended allies and apologized to enemies. His disdain for the country and the majority of its citizens, midwesterners, gun owners, high income professionals, CEOs, bankers, and more could not be hidden.

His incredible ego and victim mentality, that no one else elected had ever inherited a mess and forgetting that it was himself who made endless wild promises of the utopia he would create, will be his final downfall.

A great article on his general contempt for most other people and why he will be out of office soon. The nation has tired of his contempt.

The majority here (and in the White House) seem to agree he's going to be a one termer. When this board was closed you wanted it reopened because we had 'important and meaningful' things to discuss. Not to sound rude but is beating a dead horse important or meaningful? What ideas and/or slutions do you have for straightening out the mess? Seems like a few suggestions along with all the bitching and moaning would be a bit more meaningful than belaboring a pretty much foregone conclusion.

Karma's a bitch, isn't it?

How about voting in someone who has a plan instead of a vision, who has held a real job and is experienced politically? But most of all, like my tag line used to read, vote in someone who is proud of America and who believes it is the greatest nation on earth.

I also think that to think that obama is 100% out is not valid. I hope he is, think he is, but there are still those who support him. His approval rating is low but steady. And, there is meaning in looking at why this person, who so many non-liberals and non-dems supported, has so much wrong. Examining a failure of leadership prevents us from making the same mistakes. We cannot afford to repeat this one.

I applaud Christie for knowing he isn't ready and for not falling to the appeals and need when he knows he can do a better job with more experience and time. Those pushing him don't like obama but have not examined why he is not able to lead. Christie is fantastic and shows strength of character for not abandoning NJ but also more self awareness than obama will ever know by knowing he is not ready for the national stage. He is learning and I suspect will be a future candidate.

This tells more about obama's need for consensus and inability to make a decision when there isn't agreement.

I agree. For example we need to investigate this Larry Sinclair thing. We have the right to know.

I have not seen the above from ANY of the current GOP candidates for the 2012 republican nomination.

You may not want to admit it, but neither have you.

Great ! Investigate - have another Congressional hearing. They're sooo productive. The scumbag collection of Democrat and Republican lawyers who've made it that far and are keeping Congress in gridlock are hoping for just that. It pays their bills for doing jack squat. We could spend millions on that shit and waste time on the (alleged) past OR we can try to figure out a better plan for the next round and try being positive and energize voters in a different direction.

I pick # 2, you're welcome to do whichever you choose.

The only plan necessary is Defeat Every Democrat! Things will turn around dramatically when that happens!

Are you incredibly ignorant or just lying again? You're on here and you love linking to idiotic you tube videos so I know you have the Internet. Use it and you can find Romney's 59 point plan, Newt's 21st Century Contract With America, Cain's 9 9 9 plan etc.

You need to either shut up or grow up but sadly you'll do neither.

You need to actually read something besides the right drivel that comes from the fat Limbaugh and his ilk, and the idiots at Faux. For instance, read Romney's 59 points, which are nothing more than the same old tired conservatard talking points, lower taxes on the rich, cut taxes for corporations, talk to China, reduce benefits, cut and gut the government.
What's new? nothing but crap, and Cain's plan is just plain stupid, which would never get through congress even if the repukes have control. Why? tax increases VAT plus income, and the elimination of favorite conservatard tax subsidies.

Again, who? Why? What's the top priority? Then what's #2, 3 & 4?

My top picks for priority are:
Balanced budget period!
No war without approval of Congress
Secure our borders - states are welcome to do it themselves.
Welfare controlled by substance free incentive and a set amount of time.
Seriously begin development of Social Security reform - set a fucking time limit.

Other Social shit like DADT; Gay marriage; Abortion & Medimar can be dealt with when all this other shit is solved - meanwhile, state law rules!!!

That does not sound like someone who would have voted for Obama in 2008. I'm with you with the stipulation that the balanced budget is achieved by substantially greater spending cuts than tax increases.

Really? Like many, my 2008 vote was a rebuke of the previous adminstration and their party. Many will vote against the Democrats this time for the same reason. The difference is, I would never weld myself to any party line like MFAS does. That's too much of a, "My mind's made up, don't confuse me with any facts," type thinking. Like wearing blinders. I attempt to do 'some' thinking instead of a knee jerk, auto pilot type thing.

Have I made some votes I wished I'd made differently? Yes - it's like the stock market, you get some clunkers but the key is to book more winners than losers.

I am 100% in agreement with your second statement and not only that, it's refreshing to hear some discussion that has more substance than a streaming rant.

Exactly, and each is better thought out and more comprehensive than anything produced in the last three years.

I agree with you on each and every one of the first 4 and the order you list, with the exception of putting SS above aid programs due to the overall cost. It has to happen if there is to be a balanced budget. The social items are not anything the feds should be involved in.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this post, wondering why such bashing of the prez?
It is just like all the pundits on all of the media- right and left.
Here's a suggestion, dissolve PACs, special interests and campaign funding by giant corporations for starters. Have Congressional salaries reduced to the "Government workers" that they are-- that will cut the budget by $$millions.

Umm, how about because he is still running for office? Many here still bash Bush and he's been out of office for 3 years. But obama is off limits? Please.

Obama is the biggest detriment to the US. Based on libbie rules, we get years and years to blame him after he is gone too. You want to pour on the adoration, well then accept that not everyone agrees with you.
