another call?

LOL. I was thinking the exact same thing. Between that and "how are you doing Kip?"

" How are you Kip? Weather is great here in Dallas thanks to a dome of high pressure slipping down from the North. It arrived this morning and boy the humidity is low, blue bird skies, and just flat out beautiful! Temp is running about 78 degrees with a light northerly breeze. Barometric pressure continues to rise, so Mother Nature has more of this in store for at least the next 48 hours for us and folks to our South and East. Anyway, I had a question about..."

Please- someone make him stop saying "it's flat out cool". Flat out cool to be in limbo or to lose your job or have a coworker lose their job? What an insensitive arse.....

Hmmmmm. So, I guess we should all know if we have a job around Monday, October 22. Can't wait for that conference call. "All calls will be muted. You will not be able to ask any questions at the end of this call. Don't go to work today. We will make arrangements to pick up your car in a few days, and BTW, don't let the door hit you in the ass"

whatever.....won't it be flat out cool to work against ESC and watch how they eventually crumble....come on, old Billy boy Weldon didn't get out and buy up some big property in Boca for nothing......he knew when to jump and kept his mouth shut while that golden parachute opened!!!

In our call today, someone asked the question when they were going to post rep jobs. The answer was that they are not going to post. Most managers have already filled out an evaluation of the reps and that info is before HR now. You will not get to state a preference for what position you want. HR will decide if you have a job and what job that will be. When we discussed what were the criteria the DMs were asked in the evaluation, we got a vague answer that it was a variety of factors being considered, but we should have faith that the right decision was being made. (First and foremost - the DM evaluation is the main information being considered to see if you would be good for the new company.) Past experience is being considered as a tie breaker, but they are looking at what will you do for me in the future.

That's crazy talk!! It also sounded like there could be an open position, but if they don't perceive you as "fitting into" the new company, you'll be displaced. They also said they will not announce how many of each type of position will be available in your area. I'm 99% sure we were originally told we would be applying for posted positions. Now we have some unknown HR drone placing us into a position based on our incompetent DM's assessment. This will be interesting....

If you guys think that has not already been done then you are fooling yourselves. Do you honestly think that in two weeks they can look at 1,000 representatives? I mean, seriously?

Yes, you are 100% correct. They have to go through this "process" so they do not get sued. REPS ARE ALREADY CHOSEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
