I worked for Smitty for many years and I don't hold anything personal against him but I didn't think his management style worked for me. Why not stand up and say who you are? Most likely you are Greg himself. The only dominating of the Mid-West has been in the states where #1 Greg did not do any of the hiring TN or states that he turned over to Pat Twowig OH WV MI. All the stated that Greg has have been going downhill for years under his lack of managment. Any rep who ever dared complain about his lack of leadership got fired.

Greg is the only manager who ever stood before his reps three promo meeting in a row and said 'you know I have not been a very good manager' if I am lying I am dying. Only a person who knew the family would never fire them would say such a thing. Many a good reps careers were cut short by him. I guess the only good thing he did was get them out of Medline so they could prosper elsewhere. And most of them have.

Let me start by saying whoever is attacking GS on here has some serious mental issues....However, I find it interesting how all these posts tell people that if you have something negative to say about Medline that means that it’s because “you can’t sell” and “couldn’t hack it at Medline”. What’s there to hack? This industry is totally commoditized and dying. There is not much selling going on, just enforcing GPO contracts and responding to RFP’s for distribution business. At which point any distributor that is willing to offer the most money up front or in the form of rebates along with very low to zero mark-ups wins the business. How is that selling? Not much to hack any longer I’m afraid. With 100% commission, no car, no expenses, everyone’s W2’s are pathetic. I’m glad you are so proud to be slaving along for the Mills, someone’s gotta pay for that Lear jet.
