I wish to personally thank the jurors. You all gave over 2 months of your time and appear to have done the necessary work, sifting through mountains of documents, listening to hours of testimony and rendered a verdict that will save hundreds, perhaps thousands of lives. You have drawn a line in the sand and said clearly that criminals in custom suits belong in prison when they place profits over public safety.

It's a new day and change is coming.

Again, my profound thanks to the jurors who saw the truth and brought us justice.

Yes, of course that is the "Take away" here. Whatever will happen to all those Insys sales reps?
I'll be up all night thinking of them, and what they did to my family.
 






Are you referring to all the young ambitious sales reps that had absolutely no pharmaceutical experience, that were hired with little to no formal compliance training? The sales reps that conducted office calls to physicians already prescribing the other 4 FDA approved rapid onset fentanyl meds? The sales reps that called on physicians who were also paid speakers for the other companies selling rapid onset fentanyl? The sales reps that had responsible doctors prescribing Subsys infrequently to patients who were gravely ill and benefited from it? The sales reps who acted with professionalism and dignity? The sales reps who are now guilty by association, are unemployable, many threatened and bullied by the government to plead guilty to crimes they did not commit, whom are very much victims in their own right? I am one of those sales reps. And I too will be up all night thinking about how I can move my family past this ordeal and the horrible perception that ALL of us were criminals by people like you.

I worked here for a period of time. Worked hard. Most importantly worked ethically. At the end of my tenure I had multiple offers from various pharmaceutical and biotech companies. There were many like me there who followed suit and have moved on to better opportunities. I hope you find a light soon.

I’m really just sharing this to let those enjoying others misery know there isn’t much. And there were many conscientious and hard working professionals there. These people have moved on and are still successful. Sorry to burst your bubble y’all.
