If Amgen truly wants a diverse workforce, the people who are doing the hiring need to change. Talking about it is nice, but Real Change is better. Just read some of the comments on this board and their attitudes about blacks. And you expect them not to hire another white male?

Your stats are just wrong. Amgen has gone above and beyond the industry to recruit a diverse sales force of both male and female, all races, and sexual preferences. They also have a over 50-65 age group working as reps.I know of companies that only hire hot 28-33 year old white reps. This is NOT Amgen.
Where are you getting your stats? Are you even an Amgen employee? Or are you a disgruntled candidate that did not get the job?

Pretty obvious this thread can be started on any Company Board about white males. Better be lucky, the majority of POC are looking only for equality and not revenge. Because soon, in terms of numbers, when Bob Jr and Tom Jr go for interviews, they might just hear “we’re looking for a fit” or “you’re raw”, or “looks good on paper, put we’re going in another direction.” Just keep trying.

Because soon, in terms of numbers, when Bob Jr and Tom Jr go for interviews, they might just hear “we’re looking for a fit” or “you’re raw”, or “looks good on paper, put we’re going in another direction.” Just keep trying.

Speak for yourself. Taste of their own hiring medicine in terms of Payback would be better served.

Seriously? Dont they train you guys better to go undercover? Kick-starting threads with same language screams FAKE! Its like the early days of Yelp or Glassdoor when, after getting hammered for 16 months straight, the offending company all-of-a-sudden gets 10 glowing reviews in rapid succession. Many of them addressing the earlier negative reviews directly.

All interviews need to end, after an hour or so. Anything longer, you can't get much out of them.
 








I think industry should move to telephone only interviews where voices are distorted.

Is that the same with the “Good Ole White Boy” Network? 90% plus that’s in leadership positions in the industry are qualified or are they drinking buddies? Will they hire based on qualifications or when their ass is forced to? Forget all that “talking”. Action please.
