Allergan, the maker of Botox, agreed on Wednesday to pay $600 million to settle charges that it illegally promoted and sold the drug through 2005 for unapproved uses like treating headaches. (Neww York Time).

And the Allergan whistleblowers received $38 million!!!!!!!

If you have real evidence of off-label marketing for Zymar, you should contact an experienced whistleblower firm. It would be a repeat violation for Allergan, and the award could be huge because of it. Look what happened to Pfizer--$2.3 billion for repeat violations. Maybe $600 million doesn't hurt that much, but $2.3 billion sure would.

I work for eye care div. and they do the same for Zymar as do and did for BOTOX.Do you think BOTOX is the ONLY drug Allergan off labels and gives kick backs.Come to the eye care div, it would blow aways shit you did in BOTOX div.Way more illegal crap going here!!!!!!We make spacial kits as kick backs to give to Doctor to write off label.Can't beat that BOTOX div!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would anyone in the industry "cave" to a manager, RBD, or anyone else within a company, That pressures them to promote off label when they could just as easily gather the documentation and blow the shitheads in? As harshly as that question comes across, I'd love to hear an answer from someone who felt "trapped" in that position. I clearly must be missing something, having never experienced that type of pressure, but I honestly can't imagine just "going with the flow" and "hoping" someone doesn't get wise to what's up. Everytime I hear this happen to a company my first thought is always... "Shoot, I wish someone would be foolish enough, just once, to assume I'd keep my mouth shut." My sympathies to anyone caught up in it!
