All this 55 stuff for nothing!

Miserable or jolly depends on how you were treated and what you were able to get away with as far as benefits. Glad I am out; the quality of life and stress- free life are not attainable while working one's head off at that place with managers with mercurial personalities.

Looks like the 55 plus 10 medical benefit is about to go away, without any grandfathering. If you haven't taken it, you ain't getting it!

Pension is also about to be affected, so if you haven't started drawing that, you're not going to be happy.

All that stress, wrinkling, grey hair, hair loss, and weight gain for nothing! NOTHING! And if you're stuck here, not one of the smart ones who are doing GREAT either somewhere else or kicking back in the sun, it's going to be a long tough haul. Makes you feel the kick of karma for helping your manager go after those older reps. Ha-HA!

Too bad for you!

If you are already drawing the company pension, it can't be reduced. For anyone still working at the company, future changes to benefits are always on the table for possible change.

That's true. I talked to my friend who retired right after 55 and he's talked to the Pension Administrators and they've confirmed it. So of course he's grinning from ear to ear.:);):p:D
The rest of us, not too much. :(:(:(:mad::mad::confused::confused::confused::eek::eek::eek::oops::oops::oops:o_Oo_Oo_O
