If that happens, I don't think it will until 2025. Although I heard there was a hiring freeze now... Only filling openings with Syneos, no GSK direct hires. But I think they will expand Vaccines and many GSK reps will roll over into openings there.
Uncertain if vaccines require more representation. The growth in the Vaccine Business Unit (VBU) is fueled by two adult vaccines, targeting shingles and RSV. Approximately 90% of these vaccines are distributed through the retail sector, with a focus on the 50+ age group. Most seniors aged 65 and above obtain these vaccines at local pharmacies, while a significant portion of individuals between 50-65 also rely on pharmacy services. Although doctors generally endorse these vaccines, the availability of specific brands at chain pharmacies plays a crucial role. Retail account managers largely dictate product success by securing exclusive placements. While field representatives raise awareness, their impact may be limited to merely facilitating office interactions. Direct-to-consumer efforts influence both patients and providers. Consequently, respiratory representatives may not need in the VBU. Accept severance packages and move on.
