Nothing is wrong with AFR. Very talented staff. Amgen management is run by big pharma types who don't know how to empower talented staff, nurture innovation and foster continuous improvement.

AFR has the potential to become a world class clinical manufacturing site...if placed in the right hands.

I'm sure as far as Amgen is concerned, BI taking them off their books is as good as layoffs.

Ummm... there was a 100% layoff (see mass layoff notification at california employment development department). Staff members can only hope to get hired back by BI.
