Actavians will ruin our legacy

Average age is 35 with 10 years tenure. Complete BS. Wait until you go to a meeting or POA.
You don't have to believe me. I'm stating facts. Pray you get a legacy Actavis manager.

I'm with Allergan. My manager is black & we have several "older" reps ages 40-60 in my division & only one set of fake ta ta's. Sounds like diversity to me!

You would call 40 an older rep-see, its true!

In eye care there are only 2black managers and very few black reps. And black is not the only diversity. There are less than 5 reps nationwide over 55. Are there ant physically challenged reps? How many asian reps? Middle eastern descent? Come on, just because you have RJ as a manager and horvath on your team does not make the company diverse. And there are more fake tatas at allergan than you can count.

Frankly, I would like to see a 55 year old 1/2 black 1/2 Latino with fake boobs be hired.
Seriously, how many over 40 women are there maybe 1. Latinos? Only if they are young. Black? A token few. This is not diversity. It is cookie cutter "good ole boys" club. Good ole boys from the 80's.

I can't speak for Allergan, but so often people blow the age thing so much out of proportion. Yes I certainly agree that less are hired, but couldn't it also be that this job is just not right for everyone at certain seasons in their life? I mean I'm not young by any means but I have no intention of doing this job when I'm 55, regardless of if I am told to go or not. I mean people get to a certain place in life when they decide to move on. That happens in our business. Not a bad thing, just a reality.

Part of the problem is Allergan has strategically run off or forced retirement on the older crowd. There was a core group that were highly successful but turned loose about 3 or 4 years ago. A few others have been pressed hard to retire but have held on. After a couple of lawsuits they quit forcing and backed down on the methods they were using to drive them out. Its against the law.

Even our gay men are afraid to be open because that isnt allowed at agn. No diversity at all.
