Acquired by Pfizer

Lol only if you’ve been there for decades.
True! Those who have been there for over 10 yrs or so don’t care about anything at this point. Their pay day is coming. They can retire.
Those suckers who joined in the recent years will get screwed. most of the money from their stocks will go towards that huge tax bill.

Most of us on the commercial side will be let go. HQ is another story. so HQ did well with the retention and so did the MSL team.
reps didn’t get much and will be let go within 9 weeks after acquisition.

What regulatory boards? Haha this is Pfizer. Money talks, this deal is done and over with around October.
Sooner than October since the other deals Pfizer had done within 7 months.
Pfizer gave up the rights to the other drug with Merck so they can move faster!! they are clearing every hurdle to make this transaction go smoothly

If they are rejecting Amgen/Horizon who have no drugs in common I highly doubt this is going to be easily approved. The only thing going for this deal is that obviously Pfizer has the government in its back pocket after watching the Covid Vax unfold. I'm selling all my vested RSU today and taking the nice gain. We won't see $200 again for a long time if this gets blocked.

Nah, deal will be approved. FTC has failed to block any merger in the last year. Pfizer and Seagen products don't overlap after divesture of Bavencio. This is probably how it will go:
  • End of May, FTC requests more information (stock drops)
  • FTC files suit to block deal. Although probably unlikely as Pfizer isn't into the same bundling practices as Amgen and is riding the halo effect of being the savior of the Covid crisis
  • FTC case goes to a Trump judge who tosses it out. SGEN stock goes up to $215 at least.
Deal will close, it's just when. Initially I was hopeful for October 2023. Now I think it may be March 2024, which is fine because I can collect partial focus grant and bonus and bounce.

Hardly a done deal. And because this is really a case against being able to bundle multiple products across a portfolio and keeping drug prices sky high....not a done deal by any means. Hearing the Amgen/Horizon deal has significant odds to not go through.
