About securing a car post downsizing: RTBKPL

I find it funny that posts keep getting removed at the same time that cafepharma is "black" to protest legislation in congress.

To everyone who thinks that RT is some sort of profit or friend of yours, you are stupid. Anyone that did not look for another job after the last layoff is an idiot. I will laugh at all of you dummies that get let go and then run around not knowing what to do. Be sure to check back often for advice on you post Novartis career.

And to those of you who will be left, that will be even better. Your territory will rest exclusively on your shoulders and you will fail.

This RT moron should pull an R Bud Dwyer. By the way, I sleep fine at night, losers.

No, you would fail, not me. A little angry are we?

They will not let you keep the car for those 2 months. It is picked up rather quickly. And I remember something like if you ignore the calls from the company who picks up the cars, your severance is in jeopardy.

Talked to HR yesterday. April 1 is the notification date, May 1 is the release date and June 1 is the termination date. Unlike last year, you will be able to keep your car till the May1 release date. This is also the date you would be able to work for another company and still receive full severance.

That's good I am going to drive my car 1000 miles on a vacation in April and I will make sure Novartis pays for the gas

No calls on customers after you are notified, so all mileage will be personal miles. There will be no business miles to claim. Close out all calls and expense reports within the first week. Everything sent back including credit car within a week to two weeks at most. You may be able to have the car sit at your home until it is picked up, but mileage will be yours. I would recommend that you fill her up on the night before notification day. Use of the AmEx card after notification will be billed back to you and/or deducted from your severence.

Momma Novartis does let you keep your printer, so you may find that you "need" printer paper and an ink cartridge before April 1. They will even ask you to return your business cards and name badges.

Above poster evidently doesn't work for Novartis anymore.
We dont use Amex anymore we have MC
Things will be a bit different this time.
We can keep the car till May 1
As far as the mileage, just keep manipulating the miles for the next few months so your miles put on after April 1 will equal out.
Always ways to beat the system

I was laid off last year on Dec 3rd they took my car at the end of Dec. I had to hand in my Ammex and gas cards right way and my computer by the end of Dec. They will NOT let you have your car until May. You will be on the payroll until May like me that was on until Feb 8th. Be prepared to buy a car and pay gas.

There was another post where someone contacted HR and was told May 1
Now maybe this is smoke and really doesn't matter but remember last time was right around Christmas break so situation was a bit different.
Time will tell won't it?
