The email went out posting openings, any info on know who got cut, promoted, or moved around? Just because a spot didn't post doesn't mean that RD is still around after seeing no vacancies with ABD's and GM got cut

Did you read the op question? If you have knowledge about the RDs I'm all ears. Stop posting the same dramatic BS rants over and over to get a rise out of people. Everyone's heard the "10-13%" figures at this point

Word from HR is that NO RDs or DMs will be cut. There will be 15% of street reps getting terminated within month. Cut the BS about RDs being cut. It ain't gonna happen as there are 'craploads' of bad reps who have to go. THIS FROM A SENIOR MANAGER.

And Jerry corrected her that it would be not necessarily specialty sales but territory too that they would have to interview for and accept that pay grade.

I wasn't able to call in today to the conf call. So a DM asked if they'd have the opportunity to take specialty positions in lieu of getting laid off?
 








Yes, the DM asked if they can take a Specialty position, if displaced & Jerry's response was that they would have to post for an opening, interview, be selected by the hiring manager & accept the lower pay-grade. Rumor was in the past that they could just take a position & bump a rep out--not the case.

There may be craploads of bad reps who will be let go but there a still some DMs and RDs who do not measure up. Expect Jerry to address this in forthcoming conference calls. I am tweaking up my resume and working with a recruiter and getting myself a new job in another pharma company. There are some great recruiters out there.

All that effort and stress to do it all over again in 12 months. The pharma party is over. Move on. Financials, services or small business. Anything, but pharma. Pharma sales is a silly little job that went out of fashion in 2002.
 
















Naturally, you can bump the 13% to appx 20-25%. They aren't going to tell you they underestimated the cuts. They have already screwed up enough.

EXACTLY. Management will NEVER give an accurate number. Its always UNDERESTIMTED by design. Any poster that actually takes the 13% number as 'gospel' probably believes in the TOOTH FAIRY. As a RETIRED senior manager I can tell you the real number will be at least twice what they say. My advice is contact your trusted recruiter and check out the pharma market. Many opportunities for a hard charger.
