What were the ranges? Rural area? Top and bottom reps? I'm curious cuz i have a final internview and not sure if it's worth considering for the rural location.

No idea of the ranges. Annualized, mine was a lot less than my mileage reimbursement.

Other territories may differ; mine is pretty much "Salaried." Bonuses are going to be small, given the conditions of the territory.

I completely agree with you! Concur is really screwed up??!! If the DM's want us to make no mistakes than why not fix how attendees are created? Have an "add another name" button with all the same info so we're not doing it over and over again..it's getting old and reps are going to start looking else where!

It's all a joke. We're told that there can be no discrepancies, down to the slightest spelling or punctuation element, because we have to avoid producing multiple entries for the same customers.

There will be many clones of customers reported no matter what Quintiles does, unless they start to use the IMS number for prescribers. This is the ONLY way to standardize, and the fact that it's not being used is all we need to know about the whole sorry mess.

I get tired of being told I'm doing something for a reason I know does not exist.

I agree completely, it's getting out of hand!

I've become quite frustrated at the demand on me to get things done early before the due date and basically spend the majority of my time doing admin stuff...Quintiles DM's if you're going to put this ridiculous expectation on us...at the very minimum get our expense reports done so we can get reimbursed our mileage, GAS IS EXPENSIVE!!!!

All the Quintiles managers now have to single line audit the expense reports, if they let a mistake slip through, then their job is in jeopardy, as well as the reps who submitted the report. This is all a part of the JJ agreements. I have learned to double check mine before sending it in so I don't get it back, and then waste more time fixing it. Stayed out of the dog house now for 4 months, So far this works. If you don't have a manager scrutinizing the reports, then you don't have anyone really watching your back. At least when she saw a mistake, it was explained what I had to do clearly. After talking with my manager, I don't think she likes doing these dumbass admin things any more than we all do. This is a long winded way of saying that do your expenses properly, and you'll get your reimbursement for gas quickly, (and phone bills) screw it up and you wait while the manager audits the 12 other screwed up expense reports, didn't take me but one time to figure that one out.

F....ck that bullshit. We should submit 2 separate reports, one with mileage, drug storage, cell phone, and then another for lunches, etc. At least I wouldn't have to wait six weeks to get my gas money back, this is a total f....king joke. Sending out resumes every day, this is the worst job I have ever had in pharma and hell I have worked for 2 companies that folded.

They've always had to single line audit, do you really think reports were approved before without a look? I don't understand the complaints about making the attendee profiles accurate, you make one, save it, hit search again and all the previous address information stays the same, all you have to do is change the name. If a rep can't succeed on something this simple it's because they're not willing to stay on top of it, probably let the entire month pile up, and then get frustrated and bitch because it takes multiple hours, probably out of their normal Friday night drunk, to complete the report with multiple errors. Be professional, it's not that big of a deal.

I concur! Sorry couldn't help myself. This is not that hard to do, it's just easier not to and think it will get overlooked by your QM. Not anymore ladies, those days are gone. Getting fired because you can't do expense reports on time or as they should be done is well, both stupid and sad. It's not that we have not had enough training, Learning curve studies and the like when we all started this gig. I do mine properly as I don't want to take any more of these crazy courses. Besides, i like my job and the money it brings in, looks easy enough for me.

Fuck you, as well!

It certainly does blow.....
-delayed hiring us
-put too many reps in a territory to create competition with JNJ rep
-JNJ reps really don't want you in their territory and don't follow-through with their responsibilities to you
-DM favors JNJ reps (self-preservation for their jobs and failure to perform)
-lazy JNJ reps 'in hiding' to preserve their jobs at the expense of products not getting the pull-through necessary from CV and hosp reps
-not enough targets to call upon
-Q doesn't care about U - you are just filling a spot for the contract which will end and most likely you won't get selected for another position (cattle call of other reps applying)

Finally someone else on this board that gets it!

Couldn't disagree more. I have heard others with the same issues but I haven't experienced anything but professionalism from Janssen team mates, Janssen manager, Janssen hospital manager or Janssen regional manager, our CV team is a mess but they're all from other pharma companies. The only thing we can control is what our performance is for our Q managers, I know from personal experience if your work ethic and attitude are strong Q will provide, if your attitude sucks you will be in the street because there are many more displaced, good performing people ready to take the next contract spot. If you can't work with Q maybe you shouldn't be in this industry anymore.

Finally. someone gets it. If you do things the way they should be done, admin, Concur, etc., then your Q manager is more likely to watch your back if the JJ manager gets a little weird. We are easy targets if sales are not there, we'll get blamed first. So, if you can't do your admin stuff right, (let's be honest, a 10 year old could do that) and get your monthly reports in on time without exposing more slaps on the wrist to J&J, you'll do ok. I have found this to be true with my manager here at Q at least. If they need something done, he explains why. When someone leaves Q, they, Q, don't get paid for services rendered, and then it takes 3 months for a replacement. That's why Q wants to keep you in the field, billing for your time. The poster is right, if your attitude sucks, there are plenty more resumes lined up for the recruiters. Don't get me wrong, if there are real grievances, you do have the right to vent. But I've not seen anything that demanding that can't be done, yet. Remember when you first interviewed for this position, you weren't the only one in line interviewing, right?

Of course Q wants to keep everyone happy, that is how they get paid. Open territories cos Q money!
