The Primate Center wasn't very low key when they escaped and had to be rounded up in the neighborhood. It was quite a show over in Kings Park. That was maybe 3-4 years ago.

It's no longer a training center. Gone out of state. This site being purchased then leased by Real estate holding company. Word is part of facility (one wing) to be leased out to Dept Homeland Security for NYC/LI detention center. Rest leased out to private sector.

Mostly incorrect, current plan is building being purchased by a developer( Steel Equities), google it and you should find some news on it, I have seen in LI Business news. Forest/ Actavis will lease and hold on to some areas mostly for training. NO DHS will be at site. Not sure if Allergan purchase will change any training plans, but for next couple of years this is the plan. Training is still taking place at the CMK site classes scheduled for December, lots of short term classes, 1 week and they are completed and then a new class arrives.

No DHS is not going there, all of the nonsense rumors were false, not PSEG, Verizon, or DHS. It will be a commercial development, hopefully it will be successful so that the building doesn't end up empty and another empty commercial property on LI. There are a lot of vacant buildings, which hurts the taxes for the communities surrounding them.

YES it will be commercial development. Evertything is 'Commercial Development" .That is simply a cover story for the kool aide drinking public. Word is DHS is coming and installing a SCIF at this site. They cannot disclose this as it will compromise security. Whether or not it is also incarceration or holding pen is TBD. I personally doubt it. This info would never be detailed in a public disclosure. It will be apparent once the fences go up.

In training this week at Commack. Instructor said this place shutting down in 2015. Didn't say anything about bee ownership but heard rumors about DHS being a tenant. So poster may be right.

Meeting on Friday afternoon learner Commack office to completely close by June 15. Not that many will be left by then. Rest of place leased out to private sector and a federal agency.
