The dreaded Monday is approaching. I knew the weekend was too good to last.
Back to the grinder and cost issues. I have a hospital system re-reviewing because the use started to tick up a bit. That's the problem. Even is you start to grow share, Ofirmev goes right on the radar. I should just sit around and sandbag it, at least I wouldnt have to work so hard and then get it more restricted. Just keep things as they are, keep it off the growth radar and hospital is happy.
 






When is our NSM? I bet this year they will tell us how great the HSS team is and they are working very hard at getting something new in our hands.
Same song and dance as last year. It's will be a whole year, and nothing has changed.
Except for OSS layoffs. The corporate greed and poor communication. That is still the same.

You can expect them to tell you how great it is, how they are moving forward and how they have only the greatest people and then a month after they finish serving the kool-aid they will rip the carpet out from underneath you and you'll be collecting a severance check.
 






Ok, now this is complete and utter bullshit.
Malli buys company to build its portfolio. Therakos commercial team will be integrated into our current Critical Care organization. Uh oh- that's special for layoffs.
Again Ikaria team will market this drug and not hospital. Ikaria was just purchased at our last meeting and they get another product to promote. HSS gets JS once again. They have been blowing smoke up our asses since day one. Over a year and no product. Price reset yes, product no.
Build the acute care team, and hospital based meds. How many acquisitions have to take place before they build the acute care teams portfolio. People will be bailing come EOY and Q1 next year for new meds coming to market. Especially people at those companies are former Cadence people, and they will be recruiting the great reps. There a lot of great reps from Cadence- they kick butt in hospital.
Have you ever questioned- triple the price of med. your territory brings in triple the revenue. Reps didn't get JS for saving business, except for a lame IC plan that screwed many. That small hospital cranking out 250-300k and more Ofirmev when it was maybe 100k before. You get- nothing.

WTF- on the CC today MM said another price increase is an option under discussion. Are you kidding me? That is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard. Honesty MT think hospitals won't respond negatively. Hospital systems will be dropping Mallinckrodt like a box of rocks. That will be the end to ofirmev.
Anyone want to chime in on this?

Your kidding. Another price increase is the last straw. I would tell my accounts myself to pull it off formulary. I can guarantee Malli does not understand the hospital business.
Dop's are still reeling from last years debacle, and are pissed. I guess if they want to kill a good product, a price increase would guarantee a fast death.

It speaks volumes that Mallinckrodt buys companies but doesn't even trust the HSS reps to sell the products. They have a stable of incredible, over achieving, highly specialized, super successful reps that they don't even trust selling new products. Id be very worried if I was an HSS rep.
