5% Job Elimination

Exactly - they are going to plug people into the open positions and then Hasta Luego to the rest of y'all - that's spanish AND southern for hit the road jack!

Agreed but the question is how will they decide which sales reps to keep and which to let go...what I care about since I am a rep (I don't want anyone to lose his/her job)

Let's be crystal clear here.........Grifols bought Talecris. This is NOT a merge this is a stone cold acquisition- plain and simple - where there are open positions - you may be okay - where there are not - you will be laid off - why do you people not understand that. And one thing for sure - those of us that have a slot - no more $50,000 quarterly bonus pay outs (yes, Grifols - you read that right - some even higher than that)

Grifols reps are being told that they are competing with talecris reps for jobs...nothing is guaranteed...talecris reps can oust a grifols rep

I think it is hysterical that all the reps bitching and complaining that TPR has been posting on this board are now looking at the unemployment line. Looks like the centers made out on this deal.

5%= TPR Corp and Reps. Enough Said.

You bitched and complained about this company for years on this board, now you are out of a job. Most of you could not sell anything anyway, so your track records will not go very far with Grifols.

GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!

Karma.

You collection people are such idiots - this is a board for sales reps - no matter what the topic. And no one has been let go but the Kedrion people - one more time for the uneducated - stay of the rep board - f-o-r s-a-l-e-s r-e-p-s - is that slow enough for you?

I dare you come after Baxter & CSL. You have picked up Gamunex which was a nice coup but now you still have to exist under Grifols leadership which has always been rated sub-standard and void of aggressive sales and marketing tactics. Good luck folks.

We don't have to worry about the Grifols people as it appears that Greg Rich is keeping some of the Talecris trash - BZ, DS, KK and AD are like cockroaches after a nuclear bomb - slithering back out to survive another day. Didn't you luv KK's e-mail post Perky's resignation - I think she wet herself with glee

GR is an excellent secretary and bean counter, otherwise he just does what VG tells him to do. He is really a CEO in title only. Sadly, KK will fit right in with the managerial nightmare that is Grifols.

JMHO

What makes Grifols management such a nightmare? Is it really any different than any large corporation these days or is there something particularly dreadful about Grifols?

Grifol's U.S. based senior leadership are hand puppets which didn't matter much in the past considering their small market share. Now things have changed dramactically and Victor and his Barcelona crew need to be paying closer attention to the recommedations and strategic decisions being offered up to Victor, et al. Much revenue at higher risk with Baxter and CSl watching Grifols every move in order to counterpoint, and they will will speed and accuracy!

Grifols bought a high performance machine in Talecris but one really wonders about the Grifols drive team and pit crew now matched against the best drivers on new tracks in unfamiliar territory.

This ain't the EU muchachas and muchachos! Que` hora es?

Grifols didn't get to where they are today if the company didn't have a hugely successful brain trust. You may be right about U.S. based talent but watch what happens during the next six months. Keep three companies in mind...Cangene, BioTest, and the ailing Octapharma. I suspect that Victor and Wolfgang have already discussed possible join ventures and greater Pan Pacific/China/India collaborations. Political climate in South America remains a bit too volatile for either of the men to entertain expansion. Additionally, Victor has no interest seeing OctaPharma go under. Why you ask? Both family run businesses with deep history's and unusual but understandable bonds of friendship.
