Z will purchase a SportsMed outfit like ConMed or Arthrocare (sales of $93M this past quarter). Smith and Nephew Sports is probably too big (number two with 26% market share). Stryker has been in this arena for only 3 years, Biomet for a few beyond that. DePuy Mitek is also in there. Needs to be run as a separate franchise. No more of this Abbott spine in Austin and Z spine in Minny. Run like Dental.
