3.3 Tell the sales force already people getting sick

I am new to the company and I’m learning that layoffs are a part of life at this company. Was talking to a 25 year rep here who said she’s gone through at least a dozen in her time at Pfizer. How do you all live with that sickening feeling every other year? My previous company went 8 years in a row w/no layoffs. I just assumed Pfizer would be as stable, my bad. If I make it through the reorg I’m gonna start looking for something better than this horse crap. Record profits and huge layoffs. This company is ridiculous.

Yes, record profits and the stock price increased from approx $30/share to $50/share. Moderna’s stock price is now $350/share.

Correction reorg and layoffs go on here every year, sometimes every six months. They layoff and then turn around and hire a bunch of new people. Run from this place. Ots not somewhere you can have a career. Its a year to year job. Absolutely no stability.

Learn from this, you obviously didn't do your research before taking a job here. Pfizer is well known in the industry for perpetual layoffs, its part of their business model.

Isn't it ironic how the people around here downplay an actual virus as something to not worry about but also claim to be "getting sick" from anxiety of being laid off. Snowflake logic

So true. I only ended up here because I got laid off my last job and I got offered the job when severance got low. I’m looking for another job. Worst 5 years of my life!

Mental health issues, anxiety, substance abuse and suicides are rising exponentially. Since we're blaming everything on the pandemic, let's start here

pfizer amateur hour.
its not enjoyable to read about a bunch of spoiled brats complain about paying for a mortgage that they should have never gotten in the first place.
look, if you are short on cash flow, then make sure you have your credit in place for emergency. now is the time to get the equity out while you can for a rainy day if you don't have money saved up. now is the time to expand your credit options.
another thing, it is really silly to worry about losing a bad job. working at pfe is a bad job. there are plenty of opportunities for people that are willing to take some sales job outside of pharma. its not a good industry anyway.
stay positive and focused.
and stop listening to idiots that live in fear.

Does anyone else see the irony in what’s going on?
On one hand, we want to be this “Amazon” Pharma company.
At the same time, we keep getting emails from Starter Ops that they can’t seem to get there act together when it comes to sample delivery.
It’s too the point that we may see these HCPs a couple of times and the starters from 3 weeks ago still are “in process”.
What a joke!

When do you think I and I will know...Dec. 13, 14, or 15?

I heard through grapevine December 13th but I’m just a rep so I can’t say I know for sure. Pfizer and their Christmas lump of coal for our stockings! I’ve been applying and networking past couple months so hopefully I’ll land something soon. Good luck to all!
