If RG and Baylor can't beat the mangy huskies they truly suck. The heisman was a gift for RG. Kellen Moore deserved it more than he did. Even though I picked Baylor I hope the huskies kick their ass.

I bet it's going to be one LONG flight back to Northern Cal for that Stanford field goal kicker. The poor guy missed a winning field goal from 34 with 04 seconds on the clock and a go-ahead field goal in OT. Seriously, how does he show his face on campus after that? What are the chances he'll be playing football in 2012?
These universities had better start taking their kickers seriously when they recruit. I have seen more than a few important games lost in 2011 because the kickers choke. IMO they are every bit as important as the rest of the roster. If I were a coach I would give stress tests to any prospective kickers to find out how they perform when the big pressure is on. Kickers that choke are in the wrong business. And my kicker would be on a full ride - like everyone else. But his scholarship would be year to year.

I was thinking the same! Stanford neeeds to fire their kicker. And who the hell has a freshman as 1st string kicker anyway??? They need to fire the coach too for making these poor decisions. I do feel really bad for him though, can you imagine being back on campus after that???

Well, I think the only game I won yesterday was the Rose Bowl. What happened to all my teams???? 2 OT losses.

I hope Michigan goes down because Va Tech is my new favorite team. I don't know much about them except for Beamer, Tyrod Taylor and the Vick Crime Family but there is something about them that I like here recently.
Yeah, the broadcaster mentioned that the kid was a redshirt freshman. Put a kicker that young with very little big game experience in a position like that and 8 out of 10 times he's going to choke. Luck and the rest of the Stanford team played a pretty darn good game. I never expected Stanford to even stay in the game with Oklahoma State. I was a little surprised at Oklahoma State's defense. I thought they were better than that.
But I agree Tinker. I think that kicker's football career ended last night. His teammates won't have any confidence in him - and the coach will have to show him the door. But I don't blame the kid. I blame the coach for putting him in that position.
It was sure fun to watch a mediocre team like Houston stomp the crap out of Penn State 30-14. Hopefully guarantees that Jay Paterno is fired when the new head coach takes over. Supposedly Paterno's just the QB coach - but as much as the TV network camera showed him on the sidelines during the game you'd think he was the head coach. And how many QB coaches are interviewed after losing the game like Paterno? Daddy's not around anymore to secure his job and I really doubt any other Division 1 school would pick him up. If he wants to continue coaching it might be a good idea to apply at the local high schools.
