To Novartis, the rep is a number, a pretty simple dollar number at that. The speadsheets being reviewed will compare the reps number to another number, Profit. The call whether you stay or go is pretty simple for them at that point. That's business.
I don't completely agree.....
Reps with territories that continue to grow year after year with high volume compared to less than moderate growth in a small volume territory. Volume = $$. Overall a territory can generate more volume and 2x to 3 x more revenue/profits but 1 month can make a small volume territory shine, and even go to president's club, yet the larger volume area brought in way more $$$ to the company.
No, at Novartis it's a bad system of goaling with often less than accurate numbers.
