Bristol Myers Squibb on Thursday said it will slash $2 billion in costs by the end of 2027, expanding its ongoing cost-savings effort to chart a path toward long-term growth.

Bristol Myers said savings will be driven by organizational changes and efforts to streamline operations.

Meaning MORE LAY OFFS. But may be ok since we have WAY TOO many VPs and Executive Directors who do not do any work and just "manage"

But..but...they told us the layoffs were over!

Keep drinking the Kool-aid suckers. This place is an unmitigated disaster led by idiots of the highest order.
Never believe an ELT when the math doesn't add up. I can't believe how many reps don't watch or listen to the earnings calls and then are surprised when layoffs are announced.

A company can’t absorb the LOEs we are facing without having to have reductions. People aren’t dumb and the ELT is doing the best it can. Bottom line is we have to right size given the amount of revenue we are going to lose. This isn’t the first company to be in this position. It won’t be the last. Get some perspective and stop the attacks.

How was that an attack? Math is my perspective. Exactly why the company can't absorb the LOE's. It's my entire freaking point!

This place is becoming such a miserable shithole that I would consider taking voluntary severance. Meanwhile, these same jackasses are wondering why their my voice scores are going down

And who was responsible for the decisions that led to the current disaster we now found ourselves in?

The ELT isn't "doing the best it can". The ELT's piss poor decisionmaking is why we're in this predicament. Where is the accountability, why aren't they losing their jobs?

Instead they will lay off some poor schmuck with a few dollars to his name. Not a smart move in the current social climate. But BMS leadership isn't exactly known for their intelligence or foresight.

Derm has to go. They aren’t pulling their weight. There is too much overhead!

Bye bye CV
The culture is at an all time low in CV. Reps are leaving so fast anyway. The leadership in CV is a disaster.
CV has a really good competitor coming soon that is going to take as much as the top talent away as they can. The rest will retire..bare bones, natural attrition that they are creating.

Agree on CV. I just quit. Worked here a long time. Leadership is on a mission. If you speak up. I mean don't speak up. CV was once the best divisions with top notch leadership. Now we have the most toxic, unhealthy leadership team I have seen. Happy I was able to find a different path. Excited for the future away from this mess. I wish you all the best and do not become complacent. They don't pay enough to stay.
