Let me make sure I get this right. We have a Sales and Marketing head in the US that doesn't know or understand the market we are selling in. We just promoted someone to head the international market that has never sold into it. We have a CEO that doesn't understand the disease state anywhere. We have a finance guy that hires the sales guys. We have a medical director that is not a doctor. We have no product development head. Our best BDMs have left or were let go.

Result = sales growth less than 20 percent which is the worst growth rate ever by a long shot; Customers sending back equipments and those stopping the test; BDMs who are demoralized and looking to leave; micromanagement; no leadership; fill in the blank.

I am sure glad I have my offer in hand.

I almost came to work here some months back, and boy am I GLAD that I didn't !!!

My friend who works here is almost a complete wreck, and she HATES the daily micro-ASS mgrt.

She wants out NOW, and is even willing to interview for a contract pharma position.

This says a LOT about Cylex...............................................

I left Cylex for essentially the same reasons as above. The company was either unwilling or too afraid to do the appropriate studies being requested by the tx market to prove that IK worked (somehow).
It started to slide downhill when Doug/Brad let Mike P go. Mike P knew the TX market, had good contacts, experience, etc and knew how to sell into it. After that, the writing was on the wall that this product wasn't going anywhere fast and the company wasn't willing to help it get there. D/B gave the board unrealistic expectations and then fired the one person who could actually help them understand what the expectations should be.
As for Jim B. Is he still smoking?
Yes, all the top people left, and for good reason.

What the mgt. AirHeads here don't realize, is their looking over-your-shoulder style of "management" is most counter-productive.

However, they will never change it, or at least most will not...................................

Teh focus is on cutting costs with no regard for sales impact or morale. Those not here anymore are all doing as good if not better than they were at Cylex and are much happier. Ouor growth rate this year is an embarassment especially compared to recent years but hey our expenses are reduced. Jack needs to hit the road and who the heck made that hiring decision?

I amsure glad I left geez it only took over a year to get rid of Jack, Nice hire there Doug although Brad didn't want to hire him. Now that makes a lot of sense. a litle tail wagging the dog. Great leadership.

Sounds like you guys did one step better with your sales manager - now who hired her Douglas, Brad, or JacK? Heard she is quite the party girl. Oh well, she'll be another puppet which is great for the egos of the boys at the top.

Now pursuing RA - that suggestion was made 3 years ago and laughed at by current leadership and former CFO. I guess current efforts are a sinking ship!!

The little company that couldn't. One of the most interesting, relevant products to sell and without proper leadership--in the weeds, the ditch, whatever metaphor works.

I was wondering if they are still hanging onto that meta-analysis by RK as their primary case for using IK. Shame if that is still the most compelling case for using IK.
