What The Pfizer-Mylan Deal Means For Pharma

The record-setting summer temperatures across the globe are a metaphor for the financial heat being faced by large Pharma with one difference.  The unprecedented 100-degree plus heat in places like Europe will subside in autumn but Pharma has little chance for financial relief this fall.  Instead, Pharma’s attempted cure is to focus on M&A deals that can cut expenses and delay what will eventually be a different kind of cyclic change than we have seen before in the drug industry.
