Bayer will invest $460 million into two manufacturing sites to expand its production capabilities for contraceptives to low- and middle-income countries.
Through a deal involving the UN Population Fund and the US Agency for International Development, Bayer’s expanding one site in Turku, Finland, and building another in Alajuela, Costa Rica, to produce hormonal implants and intrauterine systems.
