If you really think an oral medication a woman will take once a day for only 2 weeks at a very specific time in her life will be enough revenue to support all the sales force they have offers out to you are out of your mind. The MDD market was where the money was at. Yes, PPD is a great advancement and will help a lot of women. But it’s a fraction of the market and without refills to continue to generate revenue. There’s no way PPD alone can justify the number of reps they had planned on bringing on board. Couple that with the labeling and I would be thinking very hard if I’d make the jump. It would depend heavily on your current employment situation.
 
















Was the black box warning expected for PPD? My concern is that moms who are breast feeding are out, not being able to drive is a concern and then safety post 45 days has not been studied.....

Breast feeding not an issue as the IV form didn't affect milk. Simple fix for dosing is to take at night. It actually is an advantage as sleep deprivation is huge for PPD moms.
