Zimmer Dental

There is a manager named Carlos Martinez, I have heard that he always strikes "under the table" deals. With all the mess that Zimmer has gotten into, I am surprised that he is still employed. I wouldn't work with for him, because of this.

I have a friend who works there who says the VP (Jens Boy) is arrogant and that everyone is afraid of him. He says he might be intelligent but has absolutely no personality and rules by intimidation and only wants to hire clones of himself.

Stay away from Zimmer, Osteohealth, Riemser and 3i. There are many more but these are the companies that are not going anywhere. In fact, they have the most turnover, worst management and poorest products.

know people that work and have interviewed with Zimmer.Lots of turnover, no strategy, leave the reps high and dry .Anyone good in the company has to answer to the hot shot VP who hasn't got a clue what he's doing form what I've heard. He's brutal total micromanager with a major attitude, run don't walk from this company.

I interviewed with them as well. They had no answers on strategy. In fact, I namedropped a few competitors in the market that are taking market share from them and the manager had never heard of them. Very shaky situation and its too bad because the Zimmer name is being dragged through the mud with this division.

You posers obviously got rejected in the interview process. Go crawl back to your bullshit Pharma jobs that you have been hidding under for the past 10 years. Nobody wants you right now. Zimmer only hires the very best. PERIOD. Probably why they are leading the industry in Orthopeadics and soon to be leading the industry in Dental Implants. 2 Words - Trabecular Metal. Google it you pansy.

This is the ignorance - Trabecular metal may work great in Ortho applications, but it is a huge accident waiting to happen in Dental. For those of you who know nothing about trabecular metal picture this....It is a surface on an implant that is porous, has tunnel-like channels that promote bone "in-growth" NOT "on-growth". Instead of creating craters on the surface of an implant, you are creating connected pot-holes on the surface. Now the concept sounds great since it has worked in ortho, but this is Dental. What happens when bone resorption occurs and that implant becomes exposed? What happens when an infection sets in? This is what willl happen: the infection and the bone resorption will travel through the entire body of the implant because the entire surface is inter-connected. Remember, this is Dental - open surgery......we're not placing hips here. No clinician will want to place the implant and it will become application specific just like Infuse has in Dental. Sounds like a great idea, but it will not work, so do not get fooled by Zimmer when they tell you to come work here.

there are 2 reasons Z is the largest ortho company. One - acquisitions. Two - you paid surgeons to use your implants.

Now that the DOJ hammered you, its no wonder Z is losing market share every quarter. Only a matter of time both Stryker and DePuy will surpass.

So more turnover, layoffs, getting to be a way of life here. Zimmer may hire the best but they let go of just as many good people. I know the first person that should go and take his ivy league diploma with him.

I am probably the last person that would ever come on here to defend anyone as most of the crap that is being thrown around on here has some truth to it. But, I do have to set the record straight with Jens Boy. He simply does what anyone else would do if you had his job: make sure that you know your business, make sure that you are hititng your numbers, if you are not hitting, he makes sure that you have a plan on how to hit your numbers. No one will disagree that he is smart, so if you try to BS him he will call you out on it and if you keep choking and show that you have no competence, you will be shown the door.

The problem before Jens cam on board is that there were too many people riding their existing base of customers and not driving new business. This not a problem anymore.
