Therefore, if you are one of the recent new hires, unfortunately you do not fit the criteria. I know it's hard to swallow, but be honest with yourself, this is business. They do not want to hire someone with no experience with our drugs, no relationships, and who has to learn the territory. Start looking right now. Don't be stupid.

Next up, Inventiv. If you've been here a while, you probably have as good a chance as a Santarus rep. If you've only been here a year or less and there are other Santarus reps with tenure and good records.....start looking now.

People, this is just business. Ive been here before. Its not fun. Dont believe the fluff you will hear. Remember....We will never sell this company! Learn your lesson? Don't get caught up in the emotions, thinking you might have a chance if you are in one of these categories. Be smart, plan and prepare, start looking right now.

Well-put! A few years back, when I worked for another pharma company, I remember at the first POA when the CEO was on stage addressing the sales force. He stated that the company would not grow the sales force too aggressively because he didn't want to have to make the decision to lay-off reps should things take a turn for the worst. Six years later the company experienced its first re-org and lay-off, followed by 3 more re-org's with lay-offs over 2 years. I don't have much faith these days in what pharma's corporate leaders state about company and job security. Neither should you.
