Long time D-S guy that guy pushed out at the age of 50....Held management level
jobs and lived the D S pharma high life...what a ride it was...Saved really well, but also lived essentially
the same lifestyle as my docs and customers...

Flash forward 2 years post- D S and I spend my days combing thrift stores for used clothes and
trinkets I can sell online or at swap meets...This is the best I have been able to do believe it or not,
as I found out that there is little to no demand for lifer drug reps, especially if they happen to be white
males...

I will "own" my part in this whole debacle...Got way too complacent with the easy pharma money and
didn't stay up on adding new skills...Now I am slumming through thrift stores hoping to slow the erosion
and hemorrhaging of my savings, and making a few extra shekels.

Have a back up plan folks...trust me on this...It is pretty brutal out here when you know longer are
in the D S bubble.

should have been like Gary N and have one job you worked (real estate) and one job you stole from because you never worked an honest day at it (DSI).

Feel for you buddy ! I’m a female about your age , but was somehow retained . Listen to this poster ! The years fly by so quickly and you wake up and suddenly your no longer relevant or in demand . If you chose to stay In Pharma specialize or do bio Pharma or oncology . It’s just tough being all alone and stuck with no job or one that’s here today and gone tomorrow. Prayers for all that were laid off and hoping for better days!

A recent ranking of 20 mid tier pharma companies showed that DSI field staff ranked 21 of 20. A mathematical impossibility but it happened. Internally we refer to this as testimony to your incompetency.
