You won't get all your money when you resign

The great news is I am out of Pharma and J&J.

But be careful when you resign, the sentence in the comp book that says "you are eligible for all prizes, contest and bonuses if you are employed to the last day of measurment period" isn't true.

I resigned in Jan. Ended up winning president club and RBD trip. After contacting HR and Sales comp about cash equivilent for prizes won. Was told "Since you resigned before announcements were made (2/24) you are not eligible for prizes" NIIIICE!!. Didn't know the measurement period includes days that it doesn't matter what the doctors rx.

Thats ok everyday is a President Club day trip, since J&J is no longer in the picture.

Just FYI, for the people still trying to get out. Good Luck!!

Good for you and good for me. I am out as of today.

Losing my 1st qtr bonus is no problem to be out of here.

Now for you people who continue to post on here and say you are wanting out. When are you really going to do it? Or will you be posting here again next yr.

Riva will not save you.

Congratulations on believing in yourself and breaking free from the golden handcuffs of jnj. Only the most hardworking and successful of people are brave enough to move to greener pastures in this economy. Everyone at jnj who's coasting and hanging on until each yearly layoff is not going to recognize the pharma divisions in the next year. They'll regret not taking the leap you're taking. Good luck to you in your new job.

Ditto. Neither pharma in general nor J&J in particular has a future. The last part of the US economy that seems healthy is "health care," and only because the Federal Government pays most of the bills.

The US gov takes in about 2.1 trillion in taxes and in 2010 spent 3.7-plus, and this year's over-spending is slated to be 2.0 trillion. Graph the annual deficit and it's going parabolic! Can you spell "end-game?"

Anyone who thinks an industry dependent upon Uncle Sam will be healthy going forward must have flunked 5th grade math 10 times in a row. The S is headed for the F.

My guess is that the fat, lazy, and trusting folks pulling in the 130-150K, car, bene's, 401(k), and pension will end up in a few years with none of it. There's trust, and then there's foolish trust. J&J is full of people awash in the latter.

Worked in NJ. Not a rep. I retired part-way through the year and found out I was not eligible to get a bonus because HR said I had to stay through 12/31/2010. Be careful when you check-out.
