Yet Another FAILURE

There definitely will be layoffs, I mean "reallocations" this coming week! Sorry folks! The biomes divisions ALWAYS hires before drugs are approved, luckily it was ok for those selling Evista and Forteo in the past! Not so much with those hired to sell bari! Lilly doesn't get many things right these past 10 years! With DR at the helm it doesn't make sense to have so many onboard with nothing to do!

Why you try to cause hysteria? You are mean and disruptive. Rheum reps will promote Talz. Rheum reps have done nothing since sales sleeve created in January 2015. 15 years of doing nothing. Diabetes has three reps in each territory so Talz will now follow and have three reps in each territory. we will all be ok, don't be so mean and a trouble maker. You are not a good Lilly team member trying to cause problems. Stop it!

No hysteria only reality. Alzheimers decision on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Layoffs announced the next Tuesday. Don't despair, there are many opportunities outside of Lilly.

Rheum reps will continue to promote Forteo and will promote Talz. Rheum reps will not lose jobs, don't listen to the idiot.

When will people at Lilly realize that their R&D senior management are no good. This disaster was preventable but ever since the mid-90's when SP joined the leadership has been none existent. Jan has slowly led the company from one failure to the next. Just look at the figures Zyprexa, Cymbalta off patent still make a significant contribution. New products with promotion fail to gain traction.

The problem is our self promoting culture and if you speak out against the crowd your career is ruined. I find it hard to believe that on a flat out denial from the FDA that there wasn't glaring signs something wasn't going right. It shouldn't be a surprise when you get a denial because of lack of safety data.

And to those that say we won't have a reduction in the sales force- think about how sad that it is. We need a reduction as we don't have a drug to sell and Forteo doesn't really even need reps. Not having a reduction in headcount will just be another sign of how inept this management team is.

Forteo doesn't need reps???

Clearly, you have never promoted Forteo! Forteo does not sell itself!!

I'm sorry this happened because I am close to several rheum reps - and hopefully our company can work with the FDA and rectify this problem.

Bashing each other isn't going to help.

Rheum reps will sell Forteo and be added to diabetes specialty products. This will make sure Lilly is Diabetes leader and add more much needed frequency to specialists. Diabetes sales force not meeting goals and need help.

Wait, Lilly stills promotes Taltz? Yawn...

Now regarding bari. JAKs have ISSUES and you all tried to scam FDA. They said no titration studies!!! No cheating!

Accept the 2mg and get on with it. Between Bari/Ixe, I can't believe you even have a sales force.

The next gen JAKs are what EVERYONE is waiting for and unfortunately, bari is not one of them.

Our management is a joke. The culture is a joke. Our pipeline is laughable. Management needs to make the tough decision to cut headcount- but they won't. Good for us as reps- but none of us can realistically be honest with ourselves and think we don't need to cut the salesforce, DM's and marketing.

Forteo doesn't sell itself- I agree with that- but we also don't need more reps selling it. Maybe better reps but that is a whole other argument.

Heard that Rheum reps will be blended into Diabetes sales force. This will help make Diabetes world diabetes leader!!! So pumped they made this good decision. Diabetes sales force not cutting it and need all the help they can get!!!

RA, AS, PsA all have zero overlap with diabetes. Absolutely no synergy and entirely different group of MD's treating. And at least another two year wait for approval.
Whose stupid idea was this?

FAILURE? Dude, this was nothing compared to the what's to come. We have a whole pipeline full of Wall Street hyped failures. Grab your popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.

Lilly management will do the right thing and find sales jobs for the Rheumatology representatives. It is not fair that they have us do all the ground work since January 2016 only to lay us off. We are good people and since the diabetes, dermatology, forteo, and oncology business units are doing so badly they should keep us to help them.

We were hired to be part of Rheum because we are the best of the best and it would be very bad if they let us go and kept the other reps who are not meeting sales results in dermatologist, diabetes, forteo, and oncology. Getting rid of rheum reps would be bad for Lilly.
