So how many of you are having to meet with your Manager and be reprimanded for rejected expense reports? This is just a bunch of BS! Any reputable company would send a report back and ask you to correct errors and not give you 3 strikes and you're getting written up!! This is just ridiculous.

You see... That you work for a company that is not ruputable at the highest level. Therefore you are the lowest part of the chain that has to be addressed. Common sense?
 












Exactly! If you haven't done a Novartis expense report then you wouldn't understand! If we don't do lunches then we will get in trouble for that since that's the only way to see docs! Also if you haven't done a Novartis expense report then you wouldn't understand!! I just want to know why we can't just correct it!!! We aren't accountants.... we are sales people (well not really even that)!! I agree this is a bunch of BS!!!!

I love when my ABL says that he has not had an expense report sent back in years. I guess not, you're expense report is personal meals, hotel expense and other easy codes. Try submitting 15-20 lunch and learns. Total BS...and I know for fact that the reprimands are selective based on who the rep is.
 




We just moved over to Novartis' archaic expense system at Alcon. Every expense report takes a minimum of 4 hours now. It is the worst system I have ever used. I can't even understand how anyone could find a mistake. There is no order to anything. It is a complete mess of receipts and sign in sheets. Dread it every month.
 




I told my boss Novartis was making us not want to do lunches anymore! She replied "oh no, you can't stop doing them!" Oh really..... maybe I'll just do the little ones. Like a previous poster said.... I'm not an accountant and why not just let us correct it?! It's not our intension to make mistakes and we aren't perfect nor are those pushing down these idiotic tactics!!!

It is such an easy form - - - even a monkey could fill it out. Did you graduate from elementary school?
 
















Just read this thread. I have to agree. This new BS of punishing us for making a mistake is just a bunch of crap!!! I told my boss I may not do anymore lunch and they freaked out! What really sucks is when they started this new bunch of BS I already had 3 material strikes against me!! Really?! Would that fly in a court of law?! I am seriously thinking we should start a class action suit!!! How can you legally be punished without first being told what you are now going to be punished for?! I just don't get it!! I have offices that won't even let reps in anymore and more and more not doing lunches!! I love that and hope it continues, services this greedy industry right!!!!
