this is just the beginning....many more cuts to come before summers over
You are full of crap and so is the person who posted 50% cut. Not at all!!! There were a lot of cuts but no where near 50%. STOP WITH THE RUMORS!!!!!
Thank you! Yes some reps were displaced but for example on the Hem side there are still 179 reps in total 64 GIST, 60 CML and 55 Iron Overload. Not much different than before as far as numbers. Onc had a few more displaced. Overall I'd say 5-10%
More to come in the late summer/fall. Look what happend to the RDs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KARMA IS A BITCH! I hate to see anyone lose their job but there are a few I would love to see go........and they did............go.
I feel bad for all the other reps/ASMs out there that genuinely worked hard and tried to make a difference that were cut. Trust me....other companies will jump on you in a second. Too bad a bunch of lazy, trough feeding pigs have destroyed this once great job. Go where there are no "counterparts" or "pods" and bust your ass. It will pay off.

Wow Emch and Spelta busted down to ASMs. Looks like the old guard, good ol'boy network got kicked square in the nuts. Couldn't happen to a better set of tools. Way to go Christie! Your stock just went WAY up in my book.
Any of the worthless Onc KAMs get the boot? Talk about a rock to hide under! I was part of the blood-letting in December, found a great job off the Pharm before I got my severance. Nasty as it was, what HUGE favor they did me!
People are still numb, Onc ASMs pretty much read from a script as prepared for them by HR and the firm that realigned the new areas (probably ZS they have done this for years for Sandoz and Novartis). Lots of senior (50+) sales and management gone, but they nixed some younger folks too to avoid the age or other discrimination law suits that could come. Seniority did not matter, it was strictly about bottom line. They looked at where you worked/lived and then went by your records. Ones were gone, then they began to dig deep to break so called "ties".
All in all pretty hurtful to a lot loyal folks who needed jobs. We have all watched the news night after night seeing special interest stories about people out of work. When you've seen so many, you tend not to look or are in denial that it couldn't happen to you. Kind of like your kids pushing the reset button on a violent video game. It's real for more than a few Novartians who woke up today wishing it were only a bad dream, like Bobby on Dallas.

Sure there have been cuts, but i don't see how they have reached the 50 - 60% level cited here in CP.
Does anyone have some real numbers on the bloodshed?
Also, how did it break out by geography and function (sales, management inside)?
