Working Inside-YARDLEY

Looking for feedback from anyone working as an inside sales rep with Publicis. I have worked inside and outside as a pharma rep. The outside jobs were all pretty much the same atmosphere and of course a lot depended on your manager. I had 1 inside position that was brutal and one that I enjoyed except for some of the boredom. Just looking to see how they treat people. THANKS :)

It is a very dismal atmosphere and a call center at best. Most people are miserable yet they have all drunk the kool aide. I would advise against it. It is not inside sales.

Overall, It's actually a pretty good experience working here if you are on the RIGHT contract and NOT on one with a low life expectancy (i.e. Optimer, which recently bit the dust). For the most part, the folks working here are mature, seasoned and professional reps who worked in one or more Big Pharma companies AND are nice to work with.

It is different than field sales and takes some adjusting to get used to an office environment....However, you can make a decent salary here, plus get bonuses and the medical benefits are surprising very good (on par with Big Pharma companies I've worked for).

The DM's that I'm working with (or those I've met on other contracts) are competent and aren't really micromanaging at all.

I'd say, if you want a change of pace after doing some time as a Field Rep, this might be a good opportunity for you. Is this place perfect..Absolutely not, but IMO, there are more positives than negatives.

With all of the new hires, they should seriously consider building an underground garage for all of the extra cars now!

Maybe offer free shuttle service from work to home?
