Work at Kowa

I'm a former pharm. rep. - six years removed. I know the industry has changed, but I feel I can still do a good job for a good company. I have some very good experience in statins; in a brutally competitive territory. I could sell the heck out of Livalo. Any suggestions on HR hot buttons? What is Kowa looking for in a rep.? I live in South Florida.

Thanks

Of course the grumpy rep is the one to reply! Most people on EVERY Cafepharma board are miserable but that's not the rule, it's the exception.
I am very happy at Kowa and have been here 3+ years. I can honestly say my base salary is lower than most companies and my bonus is average but it's low stress and all jobs are what you make them so I guess you will just have to see what you think yourself. I would never turn anyone away from applying for a job here, but like all jobs, there are pros and cons.

its a good company. I do believe they mean well. Bonus structure is struggling right now...its either feast for famine...there is really no middle class bonus. Ask to get estimated territory bonus payout from previous year. I think that is fair.
If you are looking to make 100k - 120k - probably not the place to be

But if you are looking for little drama, no fear from day to day of layoff, and you want stability and a place to get recognized and not have all the big pharma bullcrap. its a good place to be.The company is trying new things, and is responsive to legitimate issues. Its small so you will know everyone in corp office, and they will know you.

But if your looking to make big pharma money, and be able to work less..not your place to be. You will work your tail off...but if you like the industry, and don't like punching a clock..and like the freedom of your business your day...its a good place to be.

Base is in the 50 - 60s... bonus target I think is around 17,000 but nobody makes that. Some make much more, like 3,000 or more per month and some make much less. It is a commission plan with the rate determined by volume and growth.

The base is anywhere from 60 to 80. The bonus is paid on growth and we get paid monthly commision, which is really nice. They give 2 weeks vacation, but everyone I know negotiated 3 weeks.
