Thank you for the heads up- I am passing on the "opportunity". After being laid off from big pharma after 14 years and multiple awards I have finally mustered the courage to get the heck out of this industry. Four of my fallen comrades have taken a huge pay cut and taken a contract sales jobs -some of the "best of the best". Will I have to take a pay cut - yes, but at least I gain my dignity and self respect back. Do yourselves all a favor and have the courage to do something else - you can and do deserve better. There are so many sharp people in this industry that continue to accept less and less. You had the smarts to get yourself into this job - use those same skills to get out. Good luck to all and do not believe the naysayers that think that pharma is the kiss of death on a resume - yes there are stereotypes just like any other industry but you can and will get around it - go do it!
