Will the Pfizer acquisition still close around August 7 ?

A previous post indicated the deal would close on August 7. Is that still the case ? Is it sooner than August ? Or could it be later ?

Pfizer is pleased to announce the acquisition of Hospira Worldwide.The estimated closing on this deal is anticipated on or around August 7th. 2015 Once The acquisition is completed each company will continue to operate under its own name at that time, However targeted jobs that will be affected by the restructuring process, will be notified at some point in November and severance packages will be allocated for all Hospira employees impacted.

They will be working closely with Human Resources and we ask that any questions or concerns they may have, be directed to Hospira Human Resources department T8a code

If i was Pfizer i would want to make it sooner than August. Just sayin.
You would have to worry if everyone has already checked out, interviewing with competition, if they don't do it soon. there will be nobody left. or nobody good.
 


















I have a job offer to start August 3. I'm not sure at all what to do. I like my job but not sure if I will get a layoff pack. Is this something you can discuss with your manager?
 






I think it will close before August. If you look at recent m and a it takes about 4 months...you should be ok for August and hopefully get your package in June or July. I would also ask your new company to see if they can wait till you get you package. That would be perfect scenario,.
