Absolutely! No generic competition for long time, if at all. Love it or Hate it, Acthar helps when nothing else does. Drs know this, that’s why it’s continued to be prescribed. The media/shorts have been on blitz but that will fade. Ignore the haters.

Irrelevant. Debt load still too high versus declining revenue. Changes will be forced by the financial situation. All of this has been caused by the lack of foresight of senior management. A movie will be made about this story of arrogance, inept decision making and greed.

Another point that is just emerging is that the few KOLs who used to support, are distancing themselves. Fewer KOLs are willing to speaker and those same KOLs are Rxing less and less. Everyone knows it, but who is willing to discuss the elephant. Let’s start from the bottom. JR: no, NM:no, HO:no.

Another story line could be it clears all the bs...just like the DOJ bs...15 million is nothing compared to other companies who tangled with DOJ. Which means there was nothing to it except hype. The dumb media hype gets old and the clinical data does start to show. I’m not a cool aid drinker...I just get tired of cowards who mindlessly follow negative media crap and short the stock to make big $$$ It could play out either way

I just learned about this companies pricing practices. I was disgusted. Then i learned they did an inversion to avoid taxes even though they make all of their money in the US. Then I learned the only other drugs they sell are opiates. Then I learned that instead of changing their pricing strategies they decided to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars lobbying shills in congress to protect them. It took me less than 5 minutes to learn how shady this place is.

I’m beyond disgusted. This place sounds like a crime syndicate. I would be completely ashamed to be associated with this ‘company’.
Martin shkreli and companies like this will lead us to socialized medicine.
 






Fricking disgusting company and products especially acthar... if they are so confident that acthar works, why don’t they offer to only be paid if it actually works for a particular patient. In most cases it is used as a “Hail Mary” pass and the company collects 100-200k for the treatment whether it works or not, mainly at tax payer expense. Very sleezy

At least educate yourself a little before spewing. I’m sure a surgeon only gets paid if the outcome of a surgery is perfect.

Poster who posted....I just learned about pricing practices...and it took you 5 minutes. Please do some real research to understand and quit being so intellectually lazy and misinformed. Being informed implies looking beyond sensationalized blogs and internet posts. Also understand bias and what fuels some of those articles (follow the $$$$) and who profits from those articles. Let the truth and objective information inform your opinion.
 






Not sure if 1 “True Believer” or 2 responded but to one or both of you. I realize they wouldn’t go for getting paid only of the drug works, their revenue would go to 100M overnight. I worked there for a number of years and the worst day in the history of the company was when they bought Questcor. I was on the diligence team and still can’t believe they spent so much money on this acquisition with all the information they had that said stay away. I guess some form of serious summit fever took over the decision making. A very high percentage of climbers with summit fever die, and I think MNK will not be an exception..

Ummmm.... hello... you are obviously in a low level decision making role.

The company tried this exact tactic with the payers offering a deal where they (the payers) only had to reimburse if the therapy worked. The tactic was laughed at.The
Clinical teams at the payers wanted real data to make decisions from, and as itis know, this data is not available.

I did my research. 40,000 for every 2 and a half weeks. It’s the top 20 most expensive drugs in the world. You are right it took me 5 minutes to learn what sleazy, scum bucket organization that isn’t an opinion. JAMA is pretty reputable publication and they said it best, pure greed.
 






tobtje original question. Not a chance. The name will change and we will be bought or taken over. The debt will be the issue but it can be worked around. Not a prayer this place survives.

Do some research. Pharma companies do set up contracts with payers that includes, if a patient has an event while on the therapy the company will refund the cost of therapy. This was done for an expensive drug.
