THe big word with DDP-IV inhibitor is : cardiac hypertrophy, cancer (eg medulloblastoma, myeloid leuk, fuminating gastroma, and multipl ectodermal diseases/disorders. This company is run like old Soviet Union -- everything is fine, but internal hushed-up dissent is only causing chaos and clouding of research project, even after spending 8Billion dollars, sales are precipitously falling. Unless they are tapping into the the "secret Fed Pool" managed by GS, Barclays, JPM, Citibank, and MS, financial statements coming over last few years are unbelievable even if they are bringing stashed money from overseas -- which is what Ben Bernanke mentioned in congressional "lyingmoney"

I think Lilly will wait until BI's drug approval and marketing labels are approved. however, market potential will not be that great once the drawbacks are realized, and more docotrs rather limit to more expeienced insulin than other modality of N/IDDM management.

Also it would be prudent to wait as the bad news are out (purging), so as not to cross-pollinate the "virgin" incomers from outgoing disgruntled employees.

Having said that, it is important to not raise hopes so high as this company is likely to battle its financial position through 2017 by when ALL its patnets will be gone.
