We are almost thru May and the inventory debacle continues to get worse. Persona poly, G7 poly, reverse poly, oxford implants, Arcos bodies, Arcos stems, and depending on the day, every single product manufactured is on backorder.
Somebody made a choice. Somebody reduced production. Somebody eliminated inventory on hand. Somebody is playing a game with the market and our business is the cost.
Why is this getting worse. Why can’t they give us a solution. Why is the board quiet.
Why is management still employed.

You are the victim of corporate policies to reduce the days on hand and a push to better utilize the manufacturing footprint of ZB. This include delaying production in house and with vendors (free cash). There is also a push to shut down mfg in Europe and the US (lower cost) and move some of that work to China (not willing to recognize the threats of past). That’s right China for your implants. Going to need to pull off a major shell game to make sure those boxes don’t say made in China. The same China that had once restricted the shipments of PPE and critical supplies during Covid. This time we can trust them... Let’s all hope that this decision doesn’t create ANY issues with our quality or it’s going to be a nightmare explaining it to doctors that don’t want to hear that we saved a couple of bucks…. Is anyone here willing to volunteer to oversee what’s happening there or we just going to hope it all works out in the end?

The FDA let us know just how bad our plants are if your memory is that short. Current management driven good people away so they can get a bigger bonus when they leave. No joke, Hanson could care less about Zimmer, and it shows by his actions. Can’t believe Zimmer turned into this.
