Why so many DCS openings?

Received a call from a recruiter about a DCS position. Why so many openings? I thought Novo was the place to be?

USED TO BE!!!!! Our first big rewards trip was the QE2 in 2005. After that, Novo went on a hiring spree for just one drug - insulin. Far more reps than needed. After several waves of layoffs, Novo is in this position. Good reps left or retired and many more were managed out. If you really need a job, give Novo a try. There are better opportunities out there.

Yes many openings in other pharma companies that sell more than just one molecule. Novo should be your last resort.

Agreed. However, goals will change, fair or unfair no matter where you go. The worst thing about novo is the how they just stopped caring about their employees. It went from being a great place to work to one of the most hostile work environments I have ever seen in 25 years. If you aren’t a minion you don’t fit in. Such a shame.

As previous posters said…….NNI used to be a great place to work. Now they have promoted the wrong people (CPHY as a prime example) and the culture is bad. Much of this is due to bad management/mgrs.

Truth. Bad choices for management from DBMs all the way up to VPs. Favoritism at its finest. It’s the worst way to promote.

If you think the culture is toxic now, which it is, and incredibly so, just wait until the new Lilly drug starts taking share from Ozempic. It will be unbearable to work for Novo.
