Why is leadership holding us accountable for Medi-Caid when AZ has walked away from it?













Who cares! i got 3 restaurant gift certificates added on to lunch and learns this week! i also worked an average of 3 per day so far this week. I have 0 complaints about AZ!
 








Why should we have Medi-Caid potential in our goals when leadership has walked away from it?


Because everyone has either benefited or been negatively impacted by medicaid coverage at some point or another. It sounds like you have had one of your products pulled off of it. Deal with it because everyone else has and I'm sure you have reaped the benefits when your products were on. I think it's short sighted for AZ not to pursue this. Medicaid can often create perception as it relates to coverage in the major metro areas. It's fair to say that most of the leading brands in most classes are typically covered on medicaid.

AZ doesnt want to pay the huge government rebates any more. Period. If you recall one of the frenchmans' comments a few years ago, he said AZ was the leading pharmaceutical company in handing out rebates to gain favorable formulary status and he wanted to reduce it. Well here it is. I find this ironic since we are now one if the leading companies that gives product away with free co-pay cards on the commercial insurance side. And yes, you will have to squeeze blood from a stone now so deal with it. Anyone who has won COE in last year or two better start looking outside AZ now and strike while the iron is hot. It will be much more difficult explaining your number to a potential employer after your share sinks like a stone due to the medicaid block.
 




dont be a fool. ask your physician to write that this is medically necessary and interact directly with the state gov. you can overcome and get the script reimbursed. quit complaining and start reimbursing.

IC incentive has gotten complicated and pulling MC coverages for certain states would be an extra cost to the company. When you read about COE being a lottery on this site, this is just one example of a flawed system to "rank and yank" employees.

Management needs a tool such as FSIP which leads to COE rankings to push/manage your activity in the field. Ultimately, the folks at the top really do not care about your pay-out or ranking which can have implications in your career.
