Why is Dr. Mitchell H. Gold still on Dendreon's Board of Directors?

Does anyone know?

All his cronies are as well.

The company exists merely as a legal shield. They pay all legal bills with the fantasy
claim that insurance will reimburse for defending criminals who remain on the board.

Depositions are embarrassing, hence the mad race to bankruptcy. They should
have been able to last two or three years easily, but will get in down in that many
quarters.

You will be amazed, truly amazed at the restructuring costs. Done to make the company profitable, but will move bankruptcy forward by a full year with the carefully chosen timing.

If he had been canned, he would still have had a legacy as a key player in a new era of immunotherapy for cancer.

As it is, he will be the guy who set it back for several years by sending the first company into shame and liquidation.

I disagree. Canned or not, he was going to serve time. Canned or not, D'Enron still had to pay his legal bills according to my understanding of company bylaws. The only possible reason I can think of for him not being fired is because he has dirt on everyone and they don't want to piss off someone who has dirt on them. I can not think of any other explanation and this was solidified after reading the bylaws and, from my understanding, seeing that they would be paying his legal bills even if he was no longer with the company.
